Save The Environment
There is an interesting website on the net which has a couple of very interesting blogs which deal with the environment and global stability. This website www.actualglobe.com talks about green gifts which are biodegradable and organic in nature.
With the approaching festive season, all of us will be buying gifts for our near and dear ones. Here we can pause to decide what type of gifts we should give which will save our environment in the process.
This blog suggests that we should reduce our carbon footprints by buying green gifts. These gifts are quite inexpensive. It suggests that we buy clothing and accessories made of natural or organic material. There are organic T-shirts available in all sizes and there are bead necklaces and bracelets which use wooden beads and abaca threads. Crayons and coloring books which have nature as their themes can be given to kids who love to draw and paint. The best idea is to plant a tree and give it to the gift recipient’s name. It will be a very unusual and thrilling gift. There are nurseries from where one can buy plants or seeds.
Those of us who love to cook can bake cakes; make sauces or some food items to gift to our friends. These can be placed in a biodegradable and non toxic container and presented. Cute containers are also available in several shops and stores.
A look around us shows that our environment has changed because of us. There are more storms, cyclones and the like because we have cut down trees indiscriminately and have not given them a second thought. We use paper napkins, paper plates, cups and other such stuff without realizing that for each of these things a lot of trees need to be cut.
We have seen that typhoons, cyclones and the like are ravaging the earth. We human beings have upset the plans of nature by indiscriminatingly cutting down trees. It needs hundred of trees to produce one box of tissues or newspapers. If we cut down on these disposable matters, we would help in saving our trees. We can use washable napkins instead of disposable tissues. We can use normal plates and cups instead of paper ones. We can also send our invitations by email or by SMS so that unnecessary use of paper is avoided. If we recycle our newspapers we will be saving the lives of so many trees. Halloween and Christmas parties contain a lot of disposable stuff like decorations, hats, masks, and the like by using the remaining ones instead of buying new ones, or by reusing the same ones, we will help nature in preserving trees. Each tree takes a long time to grow and it is inadvisable for us to cut them down erratically. We harm our environment and ourselves in the process.
We can send our invitations through email or mobile messages to save on paper. We can limit our use of paper in our houses so that fewer trees will be cut and we will save them and our environment. We can use biodegradable containers for the cakes, pastry and sauces which we cook to present to our friends during the festive season. Lovely boxes are also available at the stores.
These are recent blogs in this website. People can read them and give their comments. Nature and environment are our legacy which we should reserve and save instead of spoiling it with our careless ways.
