How To Copy Wii Games Using Your Computer And Burner

It’s no mystery that the Nintendo Wii has been selling like mad – it’s one hot system! With so many new users, we seem to be getting a good number of emails from people wondering if there is a way to copy Wii games. With this is mind, we decided to throw together a quick guide showing you how to do this.

Almost everyone with a computer has used their burner their burner before. “Ripping” music CDs is extremely common – there’s a good chance you have done this before. However, you can’t use the same software that you use to burn a music cd to make a copy of a video game.

Why is that?

Nintendo Wii games use a type of ‘copyright protection’ on them (as do all video games) which blocks your computer from being able to recognize or “make sense” of what is on the disc. Because your computer can’t read the disc, it isn’t able to know what it is supposed to be copying.

As you might have already guessed, there are software companies that have developed programs that can “knock-out” the protections that are used on Wii games (and other video games). Once you install the program your computer is suddenly able to “make sense” of the game discs.

I should point out that this software isn’t only for copying Wii games. You can also use it to make copies of xbox 360, PS3 and all other video games that are on a disc.

If you want to try a risk-free trial for this type of program you can use the link at the bottom of this article.

Although the technology behind these programs is complex, using the program is a snap. You just put the Wii game into your disk drive, let your computer make an “image” of it, and then insert a blank CD-R or DVD-R that your computer than copies the image onto.

Making copies of Wii games is a great way to protect any game you already have – if you ever lose or damage it at least you have a backup. By using the right software you can copy Wii games whenever you like just by using the CD burner on your computer. Good luck!
