<p>Stretching is very important for the back and a good way to stretch is to bend over at the waist. Go down as far as you comfortably can. Do not force anything and do not make any bouncing motions. Stretch to the sides and backward as far as you can. Do these several times, as it helps to warm up the muscles.</p>
<p>Most people agree that sit ups are good for the stomach and abdominal muscles. However, standard sit ups can be hard on the back. The best way to do sit ups is with the knees bent. These are known as stomach crunches. Lie facing the ceiling and bend the knees. Next, reach up and try to touch the tops of the knees. This helps tone the abdominal muscles without placing a lot of strain on the spine.</p>
<p>To get the most benefits from stomach crunches, you can alternate from side to side. Do one set straightforward and then touch the left knee with the right hand and so on. Start with sets of ten or so and gradually work your way up. Keep doing them until you feel like you can do no more. In time you will be able to do a lot more than you think.</p>
<p>Knee presses are an excellent way to ease lower back pain and problems. Lie on the floor and raise one knee, supporting it with the hands. Bring the knee up as far as you can and hold it for a few seconds, then release. Next, do the same thing with the other knee, and then both knees. Do at least five of these and consider more if possible.</p>
<p>If you do forward sit ups consider backward sit ups for a better workout. Lie on the stomach and place the hands behind the back. Raise the head as far as you can and hold the position for a count of ten. Do this ten times and gradually increase them to twenty or so.</p>

<p>The fitness ball, initially named &#8220;Pezzi Ball,&#8221;  was later termed the &#8220;Swiss ball.&#8221; The diameter of the ball is approximately 35 to 85 cm. It is made of an elastic that can handle the pressure of your body, known as PVC. </p>
<p>Swiss balls, first designed to be used with babies, at a later stage became a physiotherapy tool, and then quickly became popular in the fitness industry. Although they&#8217;ve never originally been part of the Pilates fitness idea, the Pilates fraternity eagerly adopted these fitness balls when people understood their actual potential. </p>

<p>You want to look great and you want to feel great.  You shouldn&#8217;t be embarrassed about that.  People how are in good shape get all kinds of benefits.  Not only will you live a longer, healthier life, but people tend to respect you when you&#8217;re in good shape.  Being physically attractive, for better or worse, makes people treat you better.</p>
<p>To maintain a healthy body I am following a good food habit and avoid junk items which may add extra fat to my body.  In the initial stages of my body building effort, I was doing some physical exercises on my own, got little benefit from them and finally contacted one fitness expert and on his advice I have achieved my goal and now I am maintaining a beautiful and healthy body.</p>
<p>He told me I needed to join his health club, and he was totally right.  They had a tremendous variety of machines there.  He taught me to use them all, and what muscle groups I was working.  I lost even more fat and started to get the body I really wanted.  Its funny because I went enough I could see all those around me getting better and better, too.</p>
<p>The main place your new fit body will look great is your abdominal area.  When you start losing that fat around the middle, you&#8217;ll notice the difference for use. I have spent a lot of time using abdominal equipment, and I have found it to be a safe, effective way to burn all that fat away.</p>
<p>I now have my own top quality home gym.  I bought great abdominal equipment because a great looking midsection is still very important to me.  My fitness adviser taught me a lot and put me on the road to a great body, and I am writing to help you go down the same road to success as me.</p>
<p>I use my equipment quite a bit, so I have been considering buy more home gym equipment.  When I do, I will get them from Bowflex.  All I have now is also from Bowflex.  If you asked people to name a home gym company, this is the first brand they&#8217;d name, and there&#8217;s a good reason for that.  All their stuff is easy to use, effective, and durable.</p>
<p>I have used all kinds of Bowflex machines and found them to be not only safe, but very helpful in shaping your body the way you want it to look.  Each of their designs is well thought out and surprisingly easy to use.  When friends see me using mine, and see the results I get, they get a lot more interested in getting their own Bowflex machines.</p>
<p>If you were to get into great shape like me, you&#8217;d see what I am talking about.  You get a lot of attention in all the right ways.  Everyone asks me questions about fitness because they know you can&#8217;t look like this unless you know something they don&#8217;t.  I am happy to share everything I know, too.  Everyone should look this good, and they could if they tried.</p>

<p>So many people just sit and eat without thinking about it at all when they are lonely or bored. When you eat for entertainment, you eat things you body doesn&#8217;t need, and sometimes in dangerous amounts . Eating when you are bored or lonely also trains your body to think it is hungry when you&#8217;re really just bored. If you sit around and eat, all you do is store fat from the foods that you eat, a big cause of obesity. These signs and others, such as Diabetes, heart conditions, cholesterol problems, and breathing problems are distress signals from your body that indicate that it is high time you made a change in your life.</p>
<p>Lets get started with an important part of a healthier YOU.  The BRAIN!  Yes the brain.  In order to become healthier, you have to overcome the obstacle that you see before you, and that is the rather large entity that has grown over the years.  In becoming a different person you need to develop healthy thinking on top of your new habits.  You need to keep up your self esteem, for a healthy self esteem will keep that inner self burning to reach your ultimate goal.  You need to give yourself a pat on the back and good comments on a job well done.  Treat yourself to a new pair of pants or a new top when you have reached a goal.  Healthy living has its benefits in the end to extending your life!</p>
<p>The first change you need to make to find a healthier you is to reduce your consumption of high calorie food, and replace them low-calorie, nutrient dense foods. If you were going to have a cheeseburger and fries, you can skip the fries and have a garden salad with low-calorie dressing instead. If you like chicken nuggets with creamy pasta, try having chicken breast with vegetables and a high-fiber bread, or replace that creamy pasta with a low-fat marinara sauce. Instead of take out pizza, try some oven baked fish with rice and a small salad instead.</p>
<p>Somehow, you have to train yourself to exercise when you are bored, instead of eating. Give sports a shot. You need to go outside and get some fresh air; plan some physical activity with your best buds instead of sitting in front of the television or computer. If you&#8217;re stuck inside, get a stationary bike and pedal like crazy while you watch your favorite shows.  You can even try to explore your local mall, or if nothing else pace around the house; any kind of moving around is way better than sitting.</p>
<p>Write down everything you eat so you are sure of what&#8217;s going in. Lots of people gain weight by noshing in front of the television with a big bucket of chicken. Portion your food and write it down. Because it&#8217;s a lot easier to keep track of how many calories you are taking in if your food is portioned.  It&#8217;s time to get out of denial about how much food you really eat. Lots of overweight people claim they don&#8217;t really eat much food, but sometimes they eat a lot without knowing it.</p>
<p>Another good item to document is your activities.  Keep a log of your activities that you work at daily or weekly.  You can go online and access different websites that will tell you the approximate amount of calories that you burn during an activity. <p>One of the most important things to remember is not to fear failure; in fact, expect to fail multiple times before you reach your goal. Remember that those failures are small battles in an overall war for your health. Remember that you must stay the course to win the war. Everyone is going to have their bad days. If your boss yells at you, and you get sad and sit in front of the television and eat too much pizza or an entire tub of ice cream, this is no reason to give up or beat yourself up about it. If you slip, it&#8217;s just a sign that you haven&#8217;t reached your goal yet, and you need to pick yourself up and get back on track instead of falling back into the pattern.</p>
