Internet thieves use certain software to steal personal data over the internet. When getting access to private data the criminal will be able to use the personal information of a certain victim. The personal data which is commonly stolen is: birth date, address, security number, credit card number, etc.

Instead of public data base, some thieves will use web linkages by typing in something that is similar to Social Security Numbers. They will access several search engines and find out people’s files; with those they can access any information about certain people.

There are also some criminals that create fake websites. If viewer subscribe on that particular websites, his personal data will be easily transferred into the database of the criminals.

People should know that any public computer has more than one user. If you buy something from a public machine it will leave a cookie on it, so anyone who would be interested could access that cookie and learn your personal information. Also, they could buy things from the same online store in your name.

Criminals also use encryption software which helps them figure out credit card numbers. A victim’s number will be easily found with encryption software so watch out.

Keep in mind that sending a card pin number over an internet online store is not completely safe. Encryption happens only when the viewer finds a shopping site. The site will show a padlock icon in the lower corner of the web browser.

Criminals usually want information about people to manage their personal accounts and start making transactions with their credit cards. They usually buy certain things and spend all the money on a hacked credit card.

For instance, many of the criminals have lost credits and do not have the capacity to take out the loan. Because of this, they will get some one else’s account to use in an internet transaction.

Internet fraud has become a common thing and most hackers usually get better at it. This makes it hard for people to protect themselves. Criminals have developed their skills and can gain access on a lot of data almost anywhere in the world.

In order to prevent this incident from happening, each computer user must be very careful in transacting business in the web. Aside from that, accessing the websites using a high-speed broadband is helpful. This service will make the computer flexible against the hackers.
