Beadwork – Five Pleasurable Christmas Designs: Simple, Good Looking And Attractive
Christmas is the time of pleasure, and if you’re a fan of beading and bead craft, then you can utilize your passion for the hobby to fuel a whole new appearance for your house this holiday season with a collection of free beadwork! If you’re looking for fun Christmas beading ideas to add to the festive look to your home this Dec 25, then keep reading and we’ll outline 5 Christmas projects you can try!
1 – Candy Canes – Simple and attractive as beadwork go, you don’t require much in the way of supplies to make these, and the designs are child-friendly to boot! The good news is that with even a modest stock of supplies, you have probably got everything you require to make many of these with supplies on hand, and they make wonderful decorations for your Christmas tree!
2 – Christmas Trees – tinny miniature trees can be made fast and easily, with or without “decorations” (you could use multi-colored glass beads sewn around the tree design in different locations for a beautiful effect!). Another kid-friendly design that comes together fairly quickly!
3 – Wreaths – Just like the tree design, above, but a little more complicated, and as such, perhaps not as “child friendly” (as they take a little longer to execute and see the results of your efforts, smaller children might get frustrated before they’re finished). Still, it is a fantastic little project that looks gorgeous when finished! Buy several shades of green seed beads to make shadow and texture in your items, and highlight with red bits of holly.
4 – Angels – A moderately more difficult piece (and again, something that childs may not have the patience for), the easiest patterns to work with display angels in profile. Buy different shades of white, silver, and gray to create a dimensional effect in your pieces. These look magnificent on the tree!
5 – Snowflakes – Of all the beading ideas stated here, the snowflake pattern is the trickiest one to get right. This is certainly not a pattern that small children could assist with, as these can get fairly complex. They make among the most beautiful and striking decorations on the tree, but, and if you’ve got the skill level and patience for it, you’ll be well rewarded for your labors! Executing one pattern well is (or can be) a somewhat daunting task, but if you are feeling specially adventurous, you could try making each snowflake on your tree unique! It is a tall order, but can certainly be done, just be prepared to dedicate quite lots of time to the task!
As you can see from just the five beadwork above, there’re all kinds of fun holiday beading tasks you can sink your teeth into, and this list just barely scratches the surface!
